Local Love: Hillside Farmacy

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Clare and I went out to lunch to celebrate her birthday at a fun new restaurant called Hillside Farmacy. It’s so cute and we had a lot of fun sitting outside in a sunny spot with kids and dogs playing next to us.

We ordered several items although I wish their soda fountain had been open when we went–it was full of things like lavender soda with optional liquor add-ins. Yum! They did have a boozy house punch that looked good, but since it was a work day for us we had iced tea and water served in little jars. I ordered a delicious panzanella salad with a runny poached egg on top. It was fresh and delightful. I also had another light artichoke salad and we split Fanny Bay oysters and a giant slice of lemon vanilla cake for dessert. The decor is really sweet and well done…sort of what you imagine every little Parisian cafe to look like inside.  It’s on 11th street past Blue Dahlia and Take Heart where 11th street splits. If you have been…I’d love to hear what you thought!
