Guys can be so tough to shop for. Lately, as gifts, I’ve taken to just buying Adam more stylish versions of his basics and it’s seemed to work out really well. A nice wallet, a good pair of jeans, a nice pair of shoes. That’s what I’ve tried to do here: outline some really good quality stuff that almost any guy would need and a few fun extras. The ultimate hope being that they one day favor the nice J.Crew sweater over that hoodie from Academy—a girl can dream, right?
Three perfectly packaged soap bars: A great stocking stuffer with vintage Boy Scout-esque charm | A really cute sweater: in cozy flecked wool | A classic bow tie: Because every guy needs one (and you can borrow it for your blouses too!) | Fun dog leashes: To give those trips to the dog park a bit more style (image from Southern Living via Pinterest) | Fancy briefs: To remind him there’s something beyond Fruit of the Loom | Adorable socks: For a little festive flair under his work shoes | Chanel Egoiste: I first smelled this in my godparent’s bathroom and became obsessed. My favorite scent for dudes. I made my friend Alex smell it on our trip to Paris and she loved it so much she ended up buying it for herself. Happy to report it smells amazing on women too. | Whiskey Aftershave: If you haven’t explored the Portland General Store, I suggest you do. So many great and unique men’s scents like this Whiskey Aftershave and this beard oil which I’m so curious about! | Cute backpack: His go-to plane carry on and a must for camping trips | Mast Brother’s Chocolate Bars (sold at Central Market): For your favorite foodie who delights in Maldon sea salt or hot peppers in his chocolate bars | Clark’s Dessert Boots: My favorite shoes for dudes. Every guy needs a pair of these that effortlessly blend style with function | Whiskey Stones: For the guy who’s serious about his cocktails
