Off to the Mountains

Tonight we’re hopping on a plane to fly to Denver from which we’ll drive to Estes Park, Colorado where we’ll be for the week and the 4th of July holiday. I’m so excited for days with nothing to do—long hikes, reading my book, and cool mountain air (the highs there right now are in the 60’s and 70’s).

I keep vacillating on whether or not to take my computer to write a few future blog posts and continue designing pieces for the small online paper shop I’m opening at the end of the summer. Part of me wants to unplug completely but another part thinks it could be a great place to feel inspired and excited by my own personal creative projects that I’ve put on the back burner lately. Plus, I’d be designing with a glass of wine on a picnic table surrounded by trees and mountains and woodland creatures:) sounds pretty ideal.

I’ve made my little packing list, below, if you care to take a look at what I’ll be bringing to The Rockies (red, white and blue themed, of course!). Links to all items after the jump.

Hope your 4th of July is sweet and come follow along with me on instagram if you’d like to see photos of our trip!

    That sounds wonderful! Enjoy it!

Oh, and I think you should totally leave your computer at home. It’s so rare that we’re disconnected from the world, it’s nice to do it every so often 😉
