Happy April, friends! Hope the beginning of this month is sweet for you. I had a lovely, lazy Easter Sunday with my family (and then watched the Game of Thrones season 3 premier!) and I’m getting really excited for the warm weather that’s coming, sundress season and planning a fun summer getaway.

March Desktop Wallpaper
I wanted to go simple and floral this month—I love it when desktop wallpapers give you lots of white space for all of your folders. These gorgeous roses photographed by Alice Gao caught my eye for their simplicity. I love the pinks and greens together, the way the greens are rich and vibrant against the soft peachy pink of the rose.

Hello! + February Wallpaper

I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve posted all week—it’s been a busy one, friends. Lauren had her (beautiful! adorable! precious!) baby boy last week so I’ve been working hard at The Creative Parasol on our current projects, including some fun valentine’s for Tribeza. We were lucky to get to be at their February issue party (Lauren was featured in the magazine along with lots of other friends! Go pick one up!) and they asked us to have a valentine’s table for guests to craft at—a dream offer! We spent some time making different patterns and phrases so that folks could really feel like they were customizable and unique to them. Then Lauren designed some adorable stamps to go along with all of it…I mean have you ever seen valentine’s so cute?! I’m really proud of how our work turned out and tried to make this month’s wallpaper match : )
I love working with and learning from Lauren because she’s so good at what she does and always comes up with new spins on traditional ideas—which is really hard to do well— you don’t just want to do something different for the sake of being different you know? When we got the idea to incorporate black and white into our valentine’s we got so excited. Who does black and white on a valentine?! But it works! I feel honored and lucky to be part of such a cool company and that she took such a chance on me when I had basically no design experience outside of this blog. And to get to see Miles (the new baby!) after being with her almost every day of pregnancy was really special. I feel so attached to him and we just met!
I hope your February is off to a sweet start, too! A few changes are coming to the blog really soon and I can’t wait to unveil them with you. Have a beautiful weekend!

Happy New Year!
And just like that, another year is over and a new one just beginning. I hope you had a spectacular new year with the ones you love.
I love this time of year because it lends itself so well towards reflection. The chilly temperatures and overcast skies, the extra time to be alone and the way the world winds down and everyone sort of retrieves into themselves for just a moment before gearing up to do it all over again. I’ve been thinking a lot about this past year and also what’s ahead and I’d love to share those thoughts with you, along with some plans for this blog and the new year.
